will we possibly get an update? nothing big but at least something would be nice to try and get some attention on MoD again 
Guessing this project is dead. Thankfully, Nickelodeon is finally bringing it back with a movie.

rip this. i dont think anything here will ever be finished lmao. jhonen has comics now haha ZIM ISNT DEAD YAY. but these projects sure as hell are i mean i know it takes a long time to animate but seriously it doesnt take over 2 years to animate... unless you're like justin roiland but then again he animates the entire rick and morty season then realeases it.

I can't speak directly for the Soapy Waffles founders, but I can say this: Fan animation has to take place in our spare time because we're not getting paid to do it. Then real life comes along and takes away our spare time. I'm Soapy Waffles' 3D CG modeler/animator, but because of personal issues I've been unable to do anything with them since late 2015. Plus, in the case of Makin' Biscuits, real life also took away our storyboard artist, and we haven't been able to replace her, which is one more reason the progress on Invader Poonchy has stalled.
But I also know that Soapy Waffles is still at work. And now that I'm getting back to where I can do my part of the work for SW, they can make more progress on things they could not without me.
Fan animation is a labor of love, but also a labor of time. Real life is unlikely to take away the love for our project, but it sure as heck can take away the time we can commit to it. You may want to consider easing up a bit... just sayin'...
